Photography awakens a personal, focused perspective on how we observe life. Personally, I observe the world differently when behind the lens; I notice things I would not normally see. My goal is to capture big picture moments and hone in on the smallest of details -- particularly the interplay of light on water, objects, faces & color. It's those gone-in-a-second moments that create a rich and rewarding canvas on which to play.
Trying to categorize what type of subjects I'm drawn to is tough. Pretty much anything and everything is game. But as you'll see throughout my website, saturated color and the play of natural light across all subject matter is a real magnet. More traditional work such as landscapes and seascapes are no less compelling, but there needs to be an added element of light or color that will bring it home. Same with my people shots -- light and texture tend to play into capturing the elements of humanity.

To date, my work has been shown in juried shows in New York City, Long Island, Boston, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as in Malaga, Spain and Berlin, Germany. It is for sale, framed or unframed. I like to consult on unique types of paper / stock to use; recently I've had great success printing on stretched canvas and high gloss metallic surfaces.
